Try Before You Buy
Want to try a SmartMotion electric Bike for a while before deciding if it’s something you would like to buy. At Cairns Electric Bikes we have the SmartMotion E-City, Essence, E20 and E-Urban bikes in our rental fleet. Book one for 2 hours, a day or even up to one week. If you choose to purchase we will refund 50% of the hire fee as a credit towards your new bike.
For other bikes, you are still able to trial them around the block with the assistance of our sales staff.
Price Match
Our prices are set to country standards. If you see the price cheaper on our supplier site? Then let us know and we will match the price. (Note: price match will need to be assessed individually and price match is granted at CEB discression). This applies to all bikes and e-scooter we sell.
Layby
As a small business we offer the long standing traditional layby option. Pay of the bike in installments and collect the bike once the price is fully paid out. Time frame for layby is up to 2 months. Talk to us if you would like to make arrangements for a longer time frame.

The Smartmotion Catalyst electric mountain bike was designed in New Zealand by avid cyclists with the dream to integrate new technology and a great ride into an excellent enduro, dual purpose bike with capability on and off road, the Catalyst is ideal for the weekend warrior mountain biker who needs to commute and wants to enjoy recreational trail rides.
Racks and lights are easy to take on and off the bike depending on the use. With top speeds of 49 + kph with pedalling, the 27.5 inch wheel allows you to cover ground quickly.
Capacity to have the motor upto 500W for private property use.
Available in two-tone Green and black with orange trim.
Comes with a 12.8Ah ($3,300) or a 17.5Ah ($3,500) Battery.
